Shopping Tip: How To Use A Bank Issued Gift Card Online

First Things First ... Register It!

One of the most asked gift card questions after the holidays is whether you can use a Visa or any other bank issued gift card (American Express, Discover, or MasterCard) to shop at Golf4Her.com or any other online retailer. The answer is yes!

However, there are additional steps you have to take to prevent your card from being rejected by the online retailer. The problem with using Visa (or any other bank issued) gift card online is that there is no verifiable name and address associated with the card. When buying things online, most merchants like Golf4Her.com require that your name and billing address to match the name and address you have on file with your card (credit, debit, or bank gift card) issuer.

Therefore, before you use your bank issued gift card, call the financial institution that issued the card or go to their website and register your name and address to the card. This will ensure that when you use the card online, the name and address you provide to the merchant for billing will match the name and address on file for the card. Once you have registered your card, you can use it online just like you would use a regular credit card. Tiff Joh Earns Full Exemption on the 2014 LPGA Tour

Happy birthday to me!

Two-year LPGA Tour veteran Tiffany Joh was smothered in cupcakes after sinking a birdie putt on the final hole to not only secure full LPGA status for next year, but also celebrate her 27th birthday today.

Fellow LPGA pro and friend Christina Kim glazed Joh’s face with frosting to celebrate the big day.

“Every year, Q School is on my birthday,” said Joh. “This is actually the first time I earned a fully-exempt card. The first time I got my card I finished like 21st or 22nd for conditional status. It’s definitely nice to actually be able to celebrate for the first time."
