PINK 365: Get Active and Support Breast Cancer All Year

{ Available exclusively at Golf4Her.com }

HELP DRIVE AWARENESS

Golf4Her will donate 10% from the purchase of the Kathryn Skort to the Morgan Pressel FoundationFounded by LPGA Tour Pro, Morgan Pressel, the mission of the Morgan Pressel Foundation is to raise funds to fight cancer, primarily breast cancer, through early diagnosis, genetic counseling, development of new treatments, and basic research complimenting all of the above modalities. Monetary grants are made to Hospitals, Medical Schools, and Research institutions to accomplish the mission.

Morgan, a star player on the LPGA Tour, wanted to honor the memory of her mother,  Kathryn Krickstein Pressel who passed away at an early age of breast cancer. This foundation is extra special because Madison, Morgan's younger sister, is a Golf4Her Ambassador.

Morgan devoted herself to fighting this disease. In a short period of time, she has helped to raise over $3.4 million dollars to aid and support patient care and research in the fight against breast cancer.

In 2010 the Kathryn Krickstein Pressel Mammovan, under the direction of the Boca Raton Regional Hospital became a reality. This mobile miracle travels throughout Palm Beach County providing affordable breast exams and health care to those who might not otherwise receive it.

In 2013, the Boca Raton Regional Hospital Lynn Cancer Institute announced the opening of the Morgan Pressel Center for Cancer Genetics. The center is designed to ascertain an individuals risk for developing certain cancers that have strong hereditary links.

For more information about the foundation, visit www.morganpresselfoundation.com

Help us honor the memory of their mom and other women whose lives have been affected by breast cancer with the purchase of this special pink rose print skort.

We launched the Kathryn Collection in November, because awareness should be 365 days, not just 31 in October. This Golf4Her Charity Skort is the first in a series of charity athleticwear, specifically designed to drive awareness about causes that impact the lives of women and the foundations that support them.

If there is a cause that is important to you, please let us know in the comment section below.

Making Your Mark!

When it comes to golf, I am a sucker for anything that helps me personalize my game and express myself on the golf course! One of my favorite new accessories is the Tin Cup ball marking device. It enables you to "Make Your Mark" on your golf ball. Just pick your favorite design and which Sharpie color you want to use, and away you go.

{Tin Cup available at Golf4Her.com}
There are a bunch of fun designs to choose from. This month I am using the Tin Cup Awareness Ribbon design and coloring it in using my Pink Sharpie to support Breast Cancer Awareness. What's great about this one is, you can change it up to support any cause that you are passionate about.

{Awareness Ribbon, includes Pink Sharpie}
Some other fun designs include:
1. Tin Cup 'Luck of the Irish' (4-leaf Clover) | $19.95 (includes Green Sharpie)
2. Tin Cup 'Fleur Di Lis' | $17.95
3. Tin Cup 'Lone Star' | $17. 95
4. Tin Cup 'One Way' | $17.95

When I heard that this product was voted One of the Best New Overall Products at the 2010 PGA Merchandise Show, I, of course needed to have it!

Plus, it's easy and fun to use. The Tin Cup is composed of a 100% stainless steel shell and has either an engraved or stamped design on it.
  1. Use a permanent ink fine point or ultra fine point pen - we prefer Sharpies!
  2. Place a golf ball under the Tin Cup
  3. Trace or color the logo with the pen (color of your choice)
  4. Let the area dry a few minutes before use
Get the kids involved. Give them a bunch of balls, their favorite Tin Cup design and a Sharpie (with caution!) and let them color away.

Golf4Her has added this item to the 'Pretty In Pink' Webtique. A percentage of the sales from the Awareness Ribbon design will be donated to Birdies for Breast Cancer, a charity founded by LPGA tour member, Cristie Kerr. Learn more >>

USGA Rules 12-2: Identifying Ball
The responsibility for playing the proper ball rests with the player. Each player should put an identification mark on his ball. If a player has reason to believe a ball at rest is his and it is necessary to lift the ball in order to identify it, he may lift the ball, without penalty, in order to do so.

Before lifting the ball, the player must announce his intention to his opponent in match play or his marker or a fellow-competitor in stroke play and mark the position of the ball. He may then lift the ball and identify it, provided that he gives his opponent, marker or fellow-competitor an opportunity to observe the lifting and replacement. The ball must not be cleaned beyond the extent necessary for identification when lifted under Rule 12-2.

If the ball is the player's ball and he fails to comply with all or any part of this procedure, or he lifts his ball in order to identify it when not necessary to do so, he incurs a penalty of one stroke.

If the lifted ball is the player's ball, he must replace it. If he fails to do so, he incurs the general penalty for a breach of Rule 12-2, but there is no additional penalty under this Rule.
