Why Sara picks mom as her caddy

Caddies spend long days hauling golf bags around the course, judging the wind, lining up putts and serving as the golfer's hole-by-hole psychologist. So who better to spend the day with than your mom?

While competing on the LPGA Symetra Tour this season, professional golfer Sara Hurwitch had her mom Susan on her bag. Sara tells us that her mom caddied for her the last three events this year: South Bend, IN, Richmond, VA, and in Myersville, MD.

Anyone who has been to an event can tell they both mesh really well together on the course, which is important for any pro golfer.

"She knows to let me do my own thing with club selection and managing my way around the course, but she's also great with knowing caddie etiquette, like order of who gets the pin, and common courtesies with other players." said Sara. Although Susan loves watching golf event and has never played professionally, she averages around 100 rounds of golf herself. Not to shabby!

With the season winding down, Sara and Susan head to Charlotte for the Symetra Classic being held September 10-16, 2012 at Raintree Country Club. This will be Sara's last event of the season. So be sure to come out and support the ladies.

Golf may be a good walk spoiled, but not if it's with mom!
