Something about Sara
Sara Hurwitch was born and raised in Northern Virginia, just outside of Washington DC. She grew up at Trump National Golf Club (Formerly the Lowes Island Club) where she was first exposed to the game of golf and developed a passion for it. From a very young age she set the goal of playing college golf, a dream which was ultimately realized in 2006.

She earned a full scholarship to play Division I college golf, first at the University of Central Florida for two years, and then transferred to the SEC to play for the University of Kentucky. Determined to graduate in four years despite the transfer, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in May of 2010.

Achieving her goals growing up would not have been possible without the support of both her mom Susan and her Dad Jonathan, as well as the support from her sister Beryl, who is a talented Lifestyle Photographer with her company BeYoung Photography.

Her ultimate dream and vision is to become one of the LPGA's most elite women golfers. In the Fall of 2009 Sara took her first step toward achieving this goal by qualifying for the LPGA  Futures Tour.  After playing in 7 tournaments in 2010, Sara gained important knowledge into what improvements need to be made to her game to come out in 2011 with an even more competitive attitude. She looks forward every day to improving all aspects in her game, and continuing the challenge of getting to the next level of professional golf!
