This past year, I was fortunate enough to be introduced to a wonderful women, Diane Grabowski, through the networking group Women In The Golf Industry.
Almost 30 years ago, Diane's grandmother started making Swarovski Crystal Golf Ball pins in effort to raise money for various charities in need. After her passing, Diane kept the mission alive by taking over the business and branching off into awareness pins. She created their signature Pink Ribbon pin in honor of her sister who is a breast cancer survivor. These ribbons are a daily reminder that early detection can saves lives.
Since branching out into awareness pins, Diane spends her day hand setting the crystal golf balls onto each of the ribbon for every possible cancer or cause out there. If you have a cause, she has a pin. What I like about her program is that a percentage of her profits are donated to foundations that provide financial support directly to people who are uninsured/underinsured and cannot afford their treatments and surgeries. Not to large charity organization that spend a large percentage of donation dollars on large administrative fees and salaries.
The other portion goes to Diane. A year ago, Diane was diagnosed with kidney failure.
Through Golf4Her, I hope to drive awareness of Diane's pins in effort to give back to a woman who has given so selflessly to so many people over the years and now finds herself on the other side of the pin.
Golf4Her is selling her Pink Ribbon Swarovski Golf Ball pins on our Website for $28. By doing so, together we can help Diane pay for some of her own growing medical bills. Currently, we have the Pink Ribbon pin available, but are taking custom orders for awareness pins for other causes.
How you can help pay it forward:
If you have a fundraiser or event and would like to order custom awareness pins, Diane would be delighted to hand make your awareness pins in any color you need. Special discount pricing is available. Since each pin is hand made, please allow approximately 2-3 weeks for delivery.
She knows that her time is limited but is determined to continue giving to those who need it as much as she can over the next 1-2 years. She continues to work hard for her company and is grateful for any help to achieve giving back to these causes. It is quite clear that there is a lot of love and compassion that goes into the making of these pins.
