AUR Golf has a distinctive sleek style, exceptional quality and an aura of sophistication that female golfers are craving. By combining style with science, AUR introduces women to a new philosophy that is this authentic golf brand.
Conscious of their surroundings and caring for our environment, AUR brings us
six Eco-Friendly Fabrics:
- E-Tech is a fabric made by combining bamboo derived fibers and polyester or cotton. It's environmentally-friendly because bamboo is one of the world's most sustainable resources. Bamboo is naturally softer than the softest cotton, and it has a natural sheen like silk or cashmere.
- S. Cafe uses a patented process that transforms the coffee grounds into yarn, which is then used to produce the AUR polos. It's environmentally-friendly because most coffee grounds end up in our landfills, which contributes to our overall solid waste management problem. Producing garments with S. Cafe fabrics helps in easing landfill concerns.
- EcoSmart is a fabric made from recycled polyester yarn, which is made from plastic post-consumer based products. It's environment-friendly by reducing fossil fuel consumption and green house gases when compared to regular polyester production.
- Health Tech fabrics utilizes natural technology that outperforms other fabrics and yarns by using activated carbon made from coconut shells. Products made with HeathTech provide effective evaporative cooling, odor adsorption and UV protection. HealthTech utilizes recycled coconut shells that would have otherwise gone to landfills. Suppliers convert the coconut shells into activated carbon, primarily for the air and water filtration industries. Particles that are too small to use in this industry are made even smaller and sent to mills to embed these active particles inside man-made fibres such as polyester and nylon.
- GeoTech garments are made from crushed volcanic minerals embedded within the fibres to enhance evaporative cooling, wick moisture and manage odour. These volcanic minerals are combined with polyester for a performance garment with light, soft hand, providing a UPF of 30-plus.
- CarboCool fabric contains a blend of polyester and bamboo charcoal. The carbonized bamboo is visible on the inside of the material with its gray tint. Qualities include moisture-wicking and quick drying, with anti-odor and added UV protection. Carbonized bamboo offers the same benefits as a chemical finish without harming the environment.
AUR groups their garments into
three distinct categories:
- ACTIVE - boasts performance-driven designs, including the introduction of its new AUR. Dri-Max/Polyester Double Kit and the Dri-Max Hybrid Cotton. Both fabrics are designed to combine the look and comfort of mercerized cotton on the fabric surface with the moisture wicking properties of polyester knit on the back side. Elastic Spandex helps maintain the fabrics shape and adds to the comfort of the garment.
- AUTHENTIC - Sticking with tradition, focusing on essentials. These garments are your building blocks to your golf wardrobe. Includes, sweaters, vests, pants and shorts, with core colors such as black, taupe, white and charcoal.
- AWARE - is this most exciting category with garments designed with sustainable and renewable products. It's environment-friendly by reducing fossil fuel consumption and green house gases when compared to regular polyester production.
